Hi, my name is Tao. I hold a degree in economics from Vietnam and a strong desire to make a meaningful contribution.
When I arrived in Sweden in 2017, I carried big dreams with me: to build a new life, contribute to society, and use my skills in a meaningful way.
But the reality was tougher than I expected. Adapting to a new country isn’t just about learning a language, it’s an emotional journey. I felt lost. Where was I supposed to start? Where did I belong?
From Café to Career
After six months of intense job searching, I finally got my first job at a café. It was my first step into the Swedish working life. I worked during the day and studied in the evenings. The loneliness was always there, but I never gave up.
Two years later, I decided to continue my education and become a payroll consultant, a role that involved not only salaries but also HR and work environment, where I could contribute to safety and fairness in the workplace. The program gave me more than new knowledge; it taught me that what truly determines a company’s success is the people and the teams who build it.
When Personal Experience Became a Mission
What changed everything was realizing that I wasn’t alone. Many immigrants experience the same frustration: a strong desire to contribute, but a lack of the right connections and an understanding of how the system works.
I didn’t just want to find my own place. I wanted to create space for others. And that’s how the idea for TM Connect.
Our mission
TM Connect exists to build bridges between people and companies. We help businesses find employees who bring both competence and commitment and we support individuals who want to contribute and grow.
For us, recruitment is not just about matching what’s on paper, it’s about creating long-term stability, belonging, and meaning for both the individual and the company.

Mattias, after many turns, found the right path
My name is Mattias, and like many others, my path hasn’t been a straight one. I graduated from Uppsala University with a strong desire to contribute to society. But before I found the right place for myself, I tried several different professions across various industries. Each experience gave me new perspectives, new knowledge, and a deeper understanding of people and their needs.
Today I work in the field of security, a profession that requires integrity, analytical skills and a strong sense of responsibility. It is a job I am proud of, and it truly reflects both my strengths and my values.
But what has always driven me the most is the desire to help others. I've always had a heart for people and a belief in their potential. That’s also what led me to co-found TM Connect together with Tao. Together, we share a vision: to create opportunities for more people, to build bridges instead of walls, and to contribute to a society where everyone gets the chance to grow.
My journey shows that it does not matter where you start, as long as you dare to follow your heart. And today, I am grateful to walk this path together with Tao and everyone we meet along the way. Together, we are building a community where everyone can contribute and feel at home.
